When forms are issued

Admission forms for Pre-Nursery to Class IV are issued after 15 August every year. The exact dates are given in that year's admission notice, on the Notice Board and under Downloads.

Age on 1 January of the year of admission

• Pre-Nursery: 2+
• Lower Nursery: 3+
• Upper Nursery: 4+
• K.G.: 5+
• Class I: 6+
• Class II: 7+
• Class III: 8+
• Class IV: 9+

Documents required

• Birth Certificate
• Aadhaar Card
• Address proof of the parents
• Report Card of the previous class, if applicable
• Transfer Certificate, if applicable
• Caste Certificate
• Passport-size photographs of the child and the parents

Selection

Children take an oral interview, a written test, or both, in Bengali or Hindi, English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

Fees

Fees are set by the School Managing Committee under the guidance of the Governing Body of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, in keeping with the Sangha's aim of serving society. The school sets them so that families of humble means can afford them, while providing for its teaching and non-teaching staff and keeping up the buildings that good teaching depends on.
